About Amy and MUAH

Amy, in the studio.

There is nothing more gratifying for me than the look my clients get when they see themselves in the mirror after I have finished working on them.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Each day, we are each loaded with a variety of opportunities to make impressions that will last a lifetime. It is my goal to make each of my clients feel confident about the way they look and feel.

From a young age, I have been obsessed with anything having to do with looking and feeling pretty. I started giving my great grandmother manicures for 50 cents at about age 8, and always looked forward to having a babysitter so I could play with their hair. When my younger sister had friends over to spend the night, we played beauty shop and I was the beautician. I must’ve had a vision way back then, that this is what I would be doing.

I have been providing hair and makeup for women all over the country since 2007. I have worked for brides all over Texas and have also beautified bridal parties in Washington D.C., and in Portland, Oregon. Additionally, I find myself busy with corporate work;  whether its hair and makeup for corporate video, commercials or headshots I strive to get to know my clients and what they stand for so that I can master the professional look and feel they wish to portray. I have even accompanied one of my favorite clients to the UK to get her ready for various corporate meetings she had to attend there. While I do stay busy with weddings and corporate work I also teach makeup seminars, do “girls nite out” parties and have clients that call me on a regular basis to get them ready for various photo opportunities or nights out on the town. I have also had the privilege of doing hair and makeup for a handful of celebrities, which has been an added bonus.

My work has been featured in Brilliant Magazine; some of my brides have been included in D Weddings; I had a bride who was featured on Style Me Pretty Texas; and I had the privilege of doing hair and makeup for a “fairy ballerina princess” who performed on stage at a David Tutera show at the House of Blues in Dallas.

I graduated from the Paul Mitchell School Dallas in November, 2014, where I learned the intricacies of skin. I can now take  my work to the next level. I am passionate about making my clients look and feel their best, and I look forward to working with them to achieve the healthiest skin possible. There are so many myths out there about how to properly care for your skin - I can help clarify what your skin type truly is so that you can properly take care of it leading up to your big day and afterwards.

I feel very lucky to have had the opportunities that I have. There is nothing more gratifying for me than the look my clients get when they see themselves in the mirror after I have finished working on them. I am grateful that I have been given the gift to be what I always wanted to be when I grew up.
